The person behind the notes

Software engineer in Helsinki. This site is where I write things down before I forget why they mattered.

Hei, I'm Juho. I build backends in Go, frontends in TypeScript, and have strong opinions about keeping both boring. By day I work on production systems – the rest of the time I run small research projects, tinker with software, and maintain a cellar that has quietly outgrown its shelf.

The common thread in everything here is the working mode: I understand things best by writing them down, and this site is the public display of that habit. Nothing here is content just for content's sake. If a post exists, it's likely because I needed to figure something out and the outcome seemed worth keeping. Or I was in a rambling mood.

What you'll find here

There's also GlassEQ, a system-wide parametric EQ for macOS that I am building. It has its own corner of this site with its own look. Consider it the workshop out back.

Colophon

This site is a static build with no analytics, no cookies, and no JavaScript where none is needed. Set in Fraunces and Hanken Grotesk, with IBM Plex Mono for code. The palette is spruce, steel, and wine on cool paper: one color per notebook.
